Master of Swords (Mageverse Series, Book Four): Angela Knight

"Witch Lark McGuin has survived a vicious vampire attack that shook her confidence and left her struggling with feelings of helplessness and fear. The last thing she needs is a partnership with Gawain , a handsome vampire knight who means to seduce her every chance he gets.

"Gawain believes he needs lark for one thing and one thing only--and it's not her skill with magic. In the process, he plans to help her overcome her fear and show her the pleasure to be found in a vampire's arms.

"But even as passion sizzles between Lark and Gawain, a revenge-driven killer targets them. If he has his way, Lark, Gawain, and the world itself will pay the price."

I normally wouldn't read a book like this because of the whole witch thing. I love the vampire theme but I knew as soon as the book started that this was no normal romance. Within the first six chapters, I was thoroughly and completely confused. There were so many plot lines and time-switches that it was hard to follow. As soon as I got used to that, the story got better. It was, however, the RAUNCHIEST novel I have gotten a chance to read--and that says something considering how many books I have read. The scenes were intense and used language one would expect in a porno, but it was not P.W.P. (porn without plot) as one would expect. The characters were well developed and the storyline interesting. When I finally got the whole idea, it was a REAL page-turner. I do recommend this book for someone with a quick mind and no aversion to the sometimes vulgar language and highly mature sexual content. I definitely plan on reading more of this author's work as soon as possible.

(So, I published this blog post a LONG time ago...and JUST realized that this book was actually the forth in a series by Angela Knight!!! I know...I'm a bit of a loser, but don't be confused! I'm going to try to get the first book as soon as possible to help update and fix this little blunder of mine!)
